Field Trips
Community Education
An integral part of our mission is to provide members of our community with equine-related educational opportunities. One of the most effective ways for us to accomplish this objective is to welcome visitors to our facility. So welcome! And we look forward to your visit!
What Goes on During a Field Trip
Although riding is not always possible during a field trip, each visitor will have a chance to tour the barn, groom a horse, learn several horse-safety tips, and increase their overall awareness of the role equines play in therapy programs.
How to Arrange a Visit
Visitors are always welcome at our riding facility and there's no better way to see what we do - and to meet a horse - than to visit us in Siletz. Each visit is supervised by a Bright Horizons instructor. Volunteers will also be on-hand to help ensure that each of our visitors has a safe and enjoyable experience.
For Visitors with Special Needs
Bright Horizons is all about allowing people to achieve and accomplish great things! And because of that, we're very proud that our facility is fully wheelchair accessible and set up to accommodate all of our visitors.
Types of Visitors
School classes (ages seven and up), at-risk youth, students with special needs, mainstream students; name a group and we've probably seen them at our center.
Invite Us to Visit You
Although its unlikely that we'd be able to bring one of our horses to your location, we can do the next best thing - which is to send a staff member or well-qualified volunteer. If you'd like to discuss having a presentation made at your business, organization or function; please contact us regarding availability, scheduling and possible topics.
